Vehicle Description 1959 Ford F100 Panel Truck Purchased roughly 15 years ago from who the current owner believes was the second or third owner of the truck, it came to him in a tan color.
He found the truck in Colorado and it was rust free.
When it came east, he started doing little bits to make it his own.
He found better grill pieces, had the seat reupholstered in a very leather like vinyl, added a couple newer gauges to the instrument panel to accurately read water temp and oil pressure.
He was told that it was a rather rare 4 peed on the floor model, however, some digging discovered that the engine is a 1961 223 ci, 6 cylinder from a Galaxie and had the 4 speed mated to it.
In this form it put out roughly 135 HP.
The odometer shows 79,000 miles.
We know the engine has been replaced so we can't say how many miles are on the engine but we feel the 79K is correct for the rest of the truck.
The original color, code D, relates to Indian Turquoise, so this truck had been repainted along the way as well as having the engine and trans replaced.
His decision was to make this a cool cruising street rod truck.
He set about tearing apart the body, pulled the engine and painted it, replaced the wood floor panels in the back and chose 1959 Edsel color Jet Stream Blue for the paint.
He frenched the rear LED tail lights, added small round side marker lights, added new rims and wheels, added new rubber weather stripping, painted the frame, had the brakes and front shocks done and bought new glass and some trim pieces.
He also shortened the front bumper and crafted frenched in nerf bars in back.
The two rear doors and the driver door all need the glass installed (included) and the door handles and window mechanisms are all included but still need to be installed as well.
The reason these items were not completed is due to some severe health issues which landed him the hospital for some time and now he's not really in the physical condition to finish the truck.
Overall the truck is in great condition, it starts easily, runs and drives well and is rust free.
The front suspension is a straight axle and the rear is standard 9 diff and semi-elliptical springs.
Unfortunately, there is some cracking in the paint on the right panel, but other than that, it's in very good condition.
Aside from the few minor finishing touches, the truck is ready to drive and enjoy.
It would make a great promotional vehicle for an automotive related business, you can use it as your daily work truck or just letter it up with a fictitious cool name, like Dave's Rod Shop and have some pinstriping done.
Of course, you could just enjoy it as it is too.
Asking price is $25,000.
Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see the truck in person, or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks you for the interest.
