The Storage Engineer works in the IT Operations Department and is a top level technical expert on the Storage and Backup Operations team. The ideal candidate will be an engineer for research and design of storage related projects. The candidate must have knowledge and experience working with EMC and NetApp technologies to include NAS, SAN, and fabric switches. The candidate will become an integral member of the on-going technology road map decision process. Experience with storage design, security, and tactical implementation of the storage platforms for Database servers, Exchange servers, File servers, SharePoint servers and Microsoft Hyper-V server farms are essential. The candidate must have previous experience with enterprise class backup infrastructures consisting of robotic libraries, disk-to-disk backups, and replication technologies. The candidate must have experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. The candidate must have experience writing technical proposals for management review and documentation for first and second level support services.
Key Responsibilities
? Serve as the Storage Subject Matter Expert
? Design, create and document storage solutions
? Generate performance and data usage reports
? Performing daily, weekly and monthly monitoring and maintenance tasks
? Engage in performance tuning of all storage, backup, and SAN environments
? Evaluate special storage needs for complex systems
? Follow and create documented procedures and checklists
? Must participate in an on-call rotation and quarterly weekend maintenances
? Research new storage related technologies that may be beneficial to the company
? Fulfill storage, backup and data protection requirements of internal systems
? Ability to work in a secure datacenter environment (including lifting up to 50 lbs)

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
