Minimum Qualifications
? College education or at least three years of equivalent insurance experience.
? Knowledge of insurance products and usages and commitment to complete educational requirements including Pictorial, IIA, CISR, or CPCU courses.
Property & Casualty license is required within six months of hire date.
? Knowledge of insurance markets, rating procedures, coverage''s, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and service assigned client and prospect.
? Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, and to accurately perform simple calculations involving decimals and fractions.
? Ability to utilize computer and understand functionality. Consistently increasing knowledge of available technology and amending work patterns to maximize efficiency.
? Knowledge and ability to perform technical tasks to expedite client service.
? High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
? Possess skills of persuasion and negotiation.
? Satisfactory completion of agency testing requirements.
? Understanding of special coverage''s and service needs of assigned clients that require specialized knowledge for contract review, specification review, specialized coverage''s etc. (for example contractors-including but not limited to OCP''s, Railroad Protective Liability policies, NYS Department of Transportation requirements, Builders'' Risk and Installation coverage''s and project insurance specification review and analysis).
? Must maintain a valid driver''s license, or have transportation available when needed to be able to leave for calls, meetings and/or visits.

Overview
Work as an integral part of the commercial lines consultative team to enhance client relationships and service while focusing on the clients'' daily needs. Understand and promote agency initiatives; to contribute to and enhance the agency''s reputation in all actions.
Key Responsibilities
Be a proactive team member responsible for maintaining the service relationship with the client.
Responds to clients'' needs by producing appropriate paperwork within timeframes outlined in procedures.
Help clients with making coverage changes in an automated environment.
Plays a role in account retention and responsible for managing the renewal process.
Proactively creates pre-renewal data for client discussions.
Visit clients in conjunction with other members of the client''s account team, as needed to maintain knowledge of the client''s operations, and establish a working relationship.
Prepare Excess & Surplus Filings as needed.
Works independently recognizing and utilizing available resources and technology.
Renew policies, bills and produces client documents following agency standards.
Review policy, endorsement or audit discrepancy forms, proactively order any necessary corrections from carrier and ensure documents are sent to client on a timely basis.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of both electronic and non-electronic data.
Promote First Niagara culture and client experience.
Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara''s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
