The Media Investment Supervisor is a primary contact with partner agencies, clients and external media representatives. He/she manages broadcast TV, cable TV and radio accounts, negotiates and develops station budgets and analyzes campaign results to accomplish client objectives and strategies. The Media Investment Supervisor facilitates a team approach to providing superior client service and innovative thinking.
Acting as key contact with Media Strategy, Traffic and Accounting teams
Preparing for and presenting in client/partner agency meetings and calls
Representing MPC as the Media Investment lead at meetings and events
Being the buying expert for assigned accounts/markets
Developing buy strategies, influencing clients/media strategists, and seeing through successful execution
Proactively seeking new opportunities to improve performance and share ideas with internal team(s) and client(s) to grow client business
Using overall marketplace knowledge to strategically impact and improve client results
Writing POVs in anticipation of, and in response to, client needs/requests
Training, mentoring and overseeing the Assistant Media Investment Buyer in his/her daily tasks
Negotiating with stations on client's behalf to secure optimal schedule for campaigns
Cultivating strong relationships with media vendors to develop media buying strategies to improve cost efficient schedule clearances and results
Managing and overseeing campaigns:
Developing planning costs based on SQAD source, market history and client history
Developing rating projections based on a mix of seasonal and recent trending rating books
Preparing pre-buys based on client goals and objectives
Coordinating with Traffic department to meet all deadlines for campaign start dates and creative changes
Presenting buy strategy and obtaining approval
Analyzing report results for use in developing buy optimization
Ensuring buying guidelines are met: creative, dayparts, program restrictions, telemarketing, etc.
Revising market/network results for efficiency within budget parameters
Monitoring execution of buy management schedule revisions
Ensuring invoice accuracy and monthly deadlines are met
Utilizing Mediaocean and other systems to compile account-specific/historical reports
Strategically using media research tools (eg: Nielsen) for buy development and trend analysis
Inputting, sending and confirming revised broadcast buy orders when needed
Coordinating and scheduling station/network sales presentations for the Investment team(s)
4-year college degree
Minimum of 4 years broadcast buying experience in a media agency environment
Comfortable and confident representing the agency with clients and partner agencies
Demonstrated solid relationships with the media sales community
Proven experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously, while also overseeing a large or varied account/market list
Successful management of Direct Response and General Awareness broadcast campaigns
Proficiency using Media systems (Mediaocean/MediaBank)
Experience buying Local TV and Local Radio
Experience in all components of buy development
Computer proficiency; advanced knowledge of Excel
Proactive problem-solving ability
Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of marketing fundamentals
Deadline-oriented with a sense of urgency
Ability to collaborate well with staff across all departments and agency locations
A fire in the belly, with the desire to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility
Overall ability to effectively, efficiently and accurately produce quantity and quality work

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
