Job Description: Monitors and helps maintain the shared development environment. Reviews requirement documentation and provides estimates on work effort. Designs, builds, and configures technical solutions to meet the specified requirements. Handle issues raised by clients. Reviews requirements prior to beginning development and facilitates design. Interacts with Project Managers and Business Analysts to clarify any questions or gaps regarding the requirements. Provides detailed and accurate estimates for the amount of effort required to complete the implementation tasks. Mentors junior developers. Acts as the contact point between the regional/client teams and the technical resources. Performs code reviews on completed work to ensure high quality releases. Mentors and educates team members on technical aspects and best practices. Ensures proper standards and guidelines are followed within the coding, testing, documentation, and release generation processes. Manages the creation of release tickets for the Client Quality Assurance and Production environments and ensures there are Application Implementation Team and Quality Assurance representatives available for the provisioning call. Troubleshoots and resolves defects as required. Ensures ticketing system updated with testing progress and identified defects. Travel required - 5% or less (travel to FICO Norwalk, CT office for a day once a month or every other month). May perform work by telecommuting from any location in the U.S.
Experience/
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science/Applications, Computer Engineering or a related field. 5 years of experience in job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer or IT professional. 5 years of experience with programming languages, such as Java, C++, and XML. 3 years of experience with UNIX, and MySQL Database. 2 years of experience with systems design and service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, and programming using Javascript and Mobility applications. Knowledge of quality assurance best practices. Travel required - 5% or less (travel to FICO Norwalk, CT office for a day once a month or every other month).
