Responsibilities
Assist with international monitoring of projects undertaken by other standards-setters and work with standards setters in financial
accounting
, as appropriate
Assist with research associated with the agenda of the Emerging Issues Task Force
Assist with research on issues addressed by the implementation working groups established by the Board related to final standards on Revenue Recognition, Leases, and Insurance
Perform research on a variety of technical accounting issues and document research in memorandums
Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss research projects
Assist in coordinating pre-agenda research activities and implementation groups
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience, which should include public accounting experience or a comparable role within industry or advisory
services
Experience with public and nonpublic entities is essential
Technical accounting knowledge on multiple topics
Proven track record of researching and writing about technical accounting issues
Thorough knowledge of research methodology
Working knowledge of the conceptual framework
Working knowledge of US GAAP and IASB guidanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
