Overnight Veterinary Technician Assistant

We're growing! VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Norwalk is seeking a Overnight Technician Assistant to join our team.
We are a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital, with shifts available any time of day or night.
We have positions available in ER, ICU, and specialty departments.
We are seeking an individual who is positive, energetic, eager to learn, and works well on a team.
Duties include:
Restraining animals for doctor and technician Administering medications under the supervision of the technician Assisting with obtaining lab samples Running labs on our in-house machines (including learning how to troubleshoot machines) Cleaning kennels and replacing bedding for hospitalized patients Offering food and water to hospitalized patients under the supervision of the technician Walking hospitalized patients under the supervision of the technician Assisting with sedated or anesthetized procedures as needed (set up and break down, cleaning, moving patients in and out of O/R, etc.
) General cleaning duties inside and outside the hospital, including laundry, sweeping/mopping, restocking medical supplies, maintaining medical equipment Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively communicate with others in a fast-paced environment.
