We can coordinate primary care, and specialty care needs with the advanced diagnostic and treatment services available through our networkJob SummaryDevelop, oversee, and monitor activities of the Advanced Practice Providers within the business unit for the emergency medicine practice.
This includes all Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Nurses.
Develops and monitors all clinical practices.
Provides clinical services to hospitalized patients under the emergency medicine department care.
Works collaboratively with Practice Operations clinical and clerical teams.
Responsibilities Provides clinical services to patients in the emergency department setting Develops program goals, objectives, and evaluations for all APP clinical staff in collaboration with the Chairman and NHMP CNO.
Develops a program and schedule for onboarding, orientation, and ramp-up of new Advanced Practice Providers to the group.
Manage staffing schedules following appropriate models to maximize productivity, meet budgetary goals, and ensure appropriate coverage.
Oversees clinical schedules to ensure that APPs are utilized appropriately on days and nights.
Job Requirements Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program (able to care for full scope of ED patients, pediatrics through geriatrics, without restrictions) Current certification by NCCPA CT PA license, CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA Registration Current provider certification in ACLS and PALS or obtained within first 6-12 months of hire At least 50 hours pertinent CME annually Good interpersonal communication skills, work well in a team 3
year's Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience and/or completion of an approved EM Residency/Fellowship Training program for APPs.
Previous leadership or Lead experience preferred.
Willing to work rotating shifts (12 hrs.
clinical) days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Typically, about 12- 14 shifts per month.
Admin hours are flexible but in-house.
