The Medical Assistant in our outpatient Infusion Center is responsible for providing outstanding and professional patient care ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
Responsible for performing such duties as phlebotomy, patient scheduling, EKG's, collection of specimens, taking vital signs and assisting physicians or other providers under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications Preferred Credential(s):
o Certified Medical Assistant.
Will consider graduate of Medical Assistant Program or similar type program such as Multi-Skilled Assistant in lieu of Certified Medical Assistant Education:
o Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.
o High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Experience:
o2 plus years experience as Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
oExperience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
o Epic experience preferred.
