SOX Compliance Consultant - Operational Finance needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Norwalk, CT.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist in conducting SOX 404 testing for specified areas within Asset Management (AMO), Risk and Finance on behalf of GE Capital Americas. Assist in the design of coverage, execution and/or lead the documentation effort. Examines, investigates and reviews records, reports, financial information, and management practices. Documents, distributes and reviews internal control issues identified during assignments. This individual must be flexible by participating in different projects as needed.
- Will be asked to work closely with various business and SOX teams to help in assessing and documenting specified key SOX processes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key business and Sox stakeholders.
- Engages cross-functional teams and coordinate completion of project components, including documentation and testing of key processes and controls.
- Timely execute plan.
- May be asked to analyze data with excel or various other analysis tools
- Track issues and findings.
- Must be able to work in a dispersed team environment where business and SOX teams are not local.
- Communicates findings and recommendations and presents status to GECA SOX Leadership team as requested.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting
- CPA certification a plus
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook
- Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to interact effectively across multiple locations and operations and work in a Matrix-type organization.
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills.
- Exhibit flexibility, adaptability and resilience.
